Do I need any growing experience?
None. Our Blueprints are written for people who have never grown a plant in their life. Every step is explicit — exact LED %, exact watering amounts, exact hang heights. If you can follow a checklist, you can follow our Blueprint.
Which tent size should I start with?
Under 4 sq ft of space or a sub-$1,000 budget? Start with the 2x2. Closet grower who wants enough flower to last between harvests? The 2x4 is the sweet spot. The 4x4 produces a pound per cycle. The 4x8 hits 2 lb per cycle for serious self-sufficiency. The Harvest Calculator on our Blueprints page does the math for you.
What's actually included in a Grow Kit?
Everything you need from seed to harvest: tent, full-spectrum LED, inline fan(s), carbon filter, oscillating fans, AC Infinity Controller, AC Infinity AUTOPILOT autowatering with reservoir, organic living soil, 15-gal fabric pots, amendments, dehumidifier (4x4/4x8), trellis nets, the 100 Days to Harvest Blueprint, and toolkit (pH pen, hygrometer, pruning shears).

How long until my first harvest?
About 100 days from planting a seed to smoking your first homegrown bud. Roughly 7 days of setup + germination, 28 days of veg, 45 days of flower, then 14–21 days of drying and curing.
Is this legal in my state?
Personal cultivation is legal in most medical-legal states and a handful of recreational states. Plant counts vary — most allow 6 mature plants, some allow 3, some 12. A 2x2 holds 1 plant, a 2x4 holds 2, a 4x4 holds 4, a 4x8 holds 8. Always confirm your state's specific rules before planting.
We can ship gear nationwide, but you are taking your own risks and HomeGrow Blueprint carries zero liability. Cannabis remains federally Schedule I as of 2026.
Will my apartment or house smell?
In Phases 1–2, no — the plant produces minimal aroma. In Phase 3 (flower) the tent will smell, but your room won't if the carbon filter is sized correctly (every kit includes the right size). Make sure not to leave the tent open for extended periods. We've shipped thousands of kits to renters — landlord complaints are almost always from people telling on themselves.
Will my pets be safe?
Yes — the tent is sealed and the carbon filter exhaust is fine around normal pets. Just don't let pets eat the plant (cannabis is toxic to dogs and cats). Keep the tent zipped and you're set.
Will my electric bill spike?
Less than you think. The LED runs at 40–60% for most of the cycle and rarely above 80%. A 2x2 adds ~$2–4/month, a 2x4 ~$5–8/month, a 4x4 ~$13/month, a 4x8 ~$28/month. Less than a Netflix subscription per week for the largest kit.
Why are your kits more expensive than what I see on Amazon?

What's the difference between a Grow Kit and VIP Concierge?
A Grow Kit is a complete DIY setup ($800–$3,500) — you assemble it and follow the Blueprint. VIP Concierge ($5K+) is done-for-you: we design the room, source commercial-grade equipment, handle electrical and HVAC, deliver and assemble, and mentor you 1-on-1 for 12 months with a guaranteed first harvest. How fast will my Grow Kit pay itself off?

What if my plant dies?
It won't if you follow the Quick-Start. If it does, reply to any email — our grow coaches answer "is this normal?" photos within hours. Customer first-cycle success rate is 99%. Worst case: replant. A photoperiod seed catches up fast.
Do I have to mix nutrients or check pH?
No. Our living soil is pre-charged with 30+ days of food and self-buffers pH. You measure water, not 47 bottles of liquid nutrients. This is the single biggest reason beginners succeed with HomeGrow Blueprint.
How many harvests can I get per year?
A single tent runs 3–4 harvests per year on its own. Add a small dedicated veg tent to stage the next plant while the current one finishes flower, and you can hit 5–6 harvests per year — doubling annual yield.
Autoflowers or photoperiods?
Both. Autoflowers are faster (~75 days seed-to-harvest) and don't need a light flip — great for first-timers and outdoor grows. Photoperiods yield more and let you train the plant for bigger results. Our Blueprints cover both with strain recommendations for each tent size.
What strains work best in your kits?
Each Blueprint includes a strain table sized to that tent. Short, bushy, forgiving indicas for 2x2/2x4 (Northern Lights, Bubba Kush, Zkittlez); higher-yield strains for 4x4/4x8 (Wedding Cake, Gelato, GMO Cookies); autos for fast cycles.
Where do you ship?
Continental US, nationwide. Shipping is calculated at checkout (~$35 for a 2x2 through ~$95 for a 4x8). You are responsible for confirming personal cultivation is legal in your state before ordering — HomeGrow Blueprint carries zero liability.
How long does the equipment last?
The AC Infinity gear (LED, fans, controller, AUTOPILOT) is rated for years of continuous use. Tent built for 100+ lb of canopy. Soil is reusable after re-amendment for cycle 2+ — you don't throw it out. Carbon filters get replaced annually. The Blueprint is yours forever.
Do I get access to a community?
Yes. Every kit includes access to the HomeGrow Blueprint Discord — new growers, experienced cultivators, and coaches in one place. Post photos, ask questions, share harvests. Most "is this normal?" questions get answered within minutes.
